I received a G.E.D. at 16 in Northwest Reginal Youth Center but joined the Navy and learned what it means to live my core values, which continue to allow me to serve and advocate for others. My life experience of knowing what is required to transform difficult circumstances has given me the capacity to excel in many positions that require leadership.

My family roots are Southern, but my influence is Midwestern. Our family and community still cherish the cornerstone of faith our parents instilled in us to this day. I keep those values at the forefront of my daily life. I treat others with respect, dignity, and the firmness necessary to ensure truth and honesty even when it isn't popular.
